- Children 2 to under 6 years: Take ½ to 1 teaspoonful (2.5–5 mL) every 4 hours.
- Children under 2 years: Consult a doctor.
- Do not exceed 6 doses in any 24-hour period.
Warnings
- Ask a doctor before use if you have: A persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema; or a cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus).
- Stop use and ask a doctor if: Cough lasts for more than 7 days, comes back, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious condition.
