Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of Major Robafen Congestion Formula (Guaifenesin 200 mg)?

Major Robafen Congestion Formula is an expectorant that helps to thin and loosen mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough up and clear the chest. This action can provide relief from chest congestion, coughing, and difficulty breathing associated with respiratory conditions like colds or bronchitis. It also makes your coughs more productive, which helps clear your respiratory tract.

How does Major Robafen Congestion Formula (Guaifenesin 200 mg) work?

Guaifenesin works by increasing fluid secretion in the respiratory tract. This helps to thin out and reduce the stickiness of mucus, allowing it to be expelled more easily. It may also enhance the activity of tiny hair-like structures in your airways called cilia, which help move mucus out of the respiratory tract.

Is Robafen the same as Robitussin?

While both Robafen and some Robitussin products contain the active ingredient guaifenesin, Robitussin is a brand name that includes a variety of cough and cold medications with different active ingredients. It is important to check the specific formulation to ensure you are selecting the correct medication for your needs.

Does Robafen help with congestion?

Robafen with Guaifenesin 200 mg is primarily used as an expectorant to help with chest congestion. It works by thinning and loosening mucus, which helps to clear the chest. It is not typically used for nasal congestion.

What are the side effects of Robafen Congestion Formula (Guaifenesin 200 mg)?

Guaifenesin is generally well-tolerated. However, common side effects may include nausea, upset stomach, dizziness, or headache. These are usually mild and temporary. If you experience severe or persistent side effects, seek medical attention.
