Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why is there a warming sensation when I first apply the cream?
Capsaicin is the natural component that makes chili peppers hot. This sensation is a sign the active ingredient is working to desensitize your nerve endings. For most users, this sensation decreases significantly after the first week of consistent use.
Can I use this for diabetic nerve pain?
Topical capsaicin is frequently used to help manage the discomfort of diabetic neuropathy. However, because diabetic skin can be sensitive, you should always consult with your physician before starting a new topical treatment.
What happens if I stop using it for a few days?
Capsaicin relief is cumulative. If you stop use for several days, the pain-transmitting chemicals in your nerves will begin to build back up, and you may experience the initial burning sensation again when you restart treatment.
