Uses
- Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation
- Helps loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions
Warnings
- Do not use:
- With a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or within 2 weeks of stopping one
- Ask a doctor before use if you have:
- A persistent or chronic cough
- Too much phlegm (mucus)
- Stop use and ask a doctor if:
- Cough lasts more than 7 days, returns, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or headache
- If pregnant or breastfeeding: Ask a health professional before use
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Directions
- Adults and children 12 years and older: Take 20 mL every 4 hours
- Do not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours
- Measure with the provided dosing cup
- Do not use in children under 12 years of age
