Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is this the same as Robitussin Chest Congestion?
Yes, it contains the exact same active ingredient (guaifenesin 100 mg) found in Robitussin® Chest Congestion, but without the brand-name price markup.
Does this syrup cause drowsiness?
No. This formula is non-drowsy and free from dextromethorphan (DM) and antihistamines, making it ideal for daytime use.
Is Rugby Guaifenesin safe for diabetics?
Yes. It is sugar-free and alcohol-free, making it a great option for people managing diabetes. As always, check with your doctor if you are unsure.
How much can I take per day?
Adults and children 12 and older can take up to 6 doses per 24 hours (each dose is 10–20 mL). Always follow label directions unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
Why choose DM-free cough syrup?
DM-free syrups avoid potential drowsiness and allow you to combine guaifenesin with other medications safely. Many users prefer a single-ingredient expectorant for daytime use or multi-symptom treatment plans.
