Uses
- Loosens and thins mucus for more productive coughs
- Suppresses cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation
- Relieves chest congestion from colds, flu, or allergies
Directions
- Adults & Children 12+: 2 to 4 teaspoonfuls (10–20 mL) every 4 hours
- Do not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours
- Children under 12: Ask a doctor
Warnings
- Do not use if you are taking or recently stopped an MAOI
- Ask a doctor before use if you have a persistent cough or cough with excessive phlegm
- Stop use and ask a doctor if cough lasts more than 7 days, recurs, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or headache
- If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a healthcare professional
- Keep out of reach of children – overdose can be dangerous, seek medical help immediately
