Drug Facts
- Active Ingredients (per 5 mL):
- Guaifenesin 100 mg – Expectorant

Uses
- Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation.
- Helps loosen and thin mucus for more productive coughs.
- Relieves chest congestion from colds, flu, or allergies.
Directions
- Adults & Children 12 years and over: Take 2 to 4 teaspoonfuls (10–20 mL) every 4 hours.
- Do not exceed 6 doses in any 24-hour period.
- Children under 12 years: Do not use; ask a doctor.
Warnings
- Do not use if you are taking a prescription MAOI (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson’s disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping an MAOI.
- Ask a doctor before use if you have:
- A persistent or chronic cough (such as with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema).
- A cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus).
- Stop use and ask a doctor if: Cough lasts more than 7 days, returns, or occurs with fever, rash, or persistent headache.
- If pregnant or breastfeeding: Ask a health professional before use.
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Storage & Handling
- Store at 20–25ºC (68–77ºF).
- Protect from light and freezing.
- Do not use if the safety seal is broken or missing.
