Uses
- For the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun.
- May be used as a protectant against further irritation.
Directions
- Wash your hands thoroughly before application.
- Pull down the lower lid of the affected eye(s).
- Gently apply a small amount (approximately 1/4 inch) of ointment to the inside of the eyelid.
- Apply every 3-4 hours or as directed by a doctor.
Warnings
- For external use only.
- To avoid contamination: Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface. Keep the tube tightly closed.
- Stop use and ask a doctor if:
- You experience eye pain.
- Changes in vision occur.
- Redness or irritation of the eye continues.
- The condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours.
- Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use.
- Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222) right away.
Storage & Handling
- Store at 59°–86°F (15°–30°C).
- Store away from heat and protect from freezing.
- Use before the expiration date marked on the container.
