Drug Facts & Important Safety Information
- Active Ingredients (in each tablet): Chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg – Antihistamine; Dextromethorphan HBr 30 mg – Cough suppressant.
- Uses: Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation; relieves runny nose and sneezing due to the common cold.
- Warnings:
- Do not use: If you are taking a prescription MAOI or for 2 weeks after stopping an MAOI.
- Ask a doctor before use if you have: Urination trouble due to an enlarged prostate, glaucoma, breathing issues such as chronic bronchitis or emphysema, or persistent/chronic cough such as from smoking or asthma.
- Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are: Taking sedatives or tranquilizers.
- When using this product: Drowsiness may occur. Avoid alcohol. Use caution when driving or operating machinery.
- Stop use and ask a doctor if: Symptoms persist longer than 7 days, recur, or are accompanied by fever, rash, or headache.
- Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a healthcare provider before use.
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
- Directions: Adults & children 12+: 1 tablet every 6 hours; do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours. Children under 12: Do not use.
- Other Information: Store at 59–86°F (15–30°C). Tamper-evident packaging — do not use if blister is broken.
- Inactive Ingredients: Croscarmellose sodium, D&C red #27, FD&C yellow #6, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, silicon dioxide, stearic acid, talc, titanium dioxide.
