Joe's Translation: What “HBP” Cold Medicine Means

  • The point: “HBP” formulas skip decongestants, which are the ingredients many people with high blood pressure try to avoid.
  • Plain English: This helps with cough, sneezing, and runny nose. It’s not meant to “open your sinuses” the way decongestants do.
  • Reach for this when: You want cold symptom relief but you’re specifically looking for a no-decongestant option.
