ClearLax® works as an osmotic laxative by drawing water into the colon to soften stool and increase bowel movement frequency. It typically produces a gentle, natural bowel movement within 1 to 3 days when used as directed.

Warnings
- Allergy alert: Do not use if you are allergic to polyethylene glycol.
- Do not use if you have kidney disease, except under doctor supervision.
- Ask a doctor before use if you have: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, a sudden change in bowel habits lasting over 2 weeks, or IBS.
- Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking prescription drugs.
- When using this product you may have loose, watery, more frequent stools.
- Stop use and ask a doctor if: you have rectal bleeding, worsening symptoms, or diarrhea; or if you need to use a laxative for more than 1 week.
- If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, contact Poison Control right away (1-800-222-1222).
Directions
- Do not take more than directed unless advised by your doctor.
- Use the bottle cap to measure the correct dose (17 g).
- Adults and children 17 years and older: Fill to top of white section in cap, dissolve in 4–8 oz of beverage, and drink once daily. Do not use for more than 7 days.
- Children 16 years and under: Ask a doctor.
