Drug Facts
Active Ingredient (in each tablet)
- Diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg: Antihistamine.
Note: While some older labels may list diphenhydramine as a decongestant, it is actually an antihistamine. It is excellent for drying up a runny nose and stopping sneezes, but it does not physically "unclog" swollen nasal passages like a decongestant would.
Uses
- Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: runny nose; sneezing; itchy, watery eyes; itching of the nose or throat.
- Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to the common cold: runny nose; sneezing.
Warnings
- Do not use: To make a child sleepy or with any other product containing diphenhydramine (even topical versions).
- Ask a doctor before use if you have: A breathing problem (emphysema, chronic bronchitis), glaucoma, or difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate.
- When using this product: Marked drowsiness may occur. Avoid alcoholic drinks. Alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness. Use caution when driving or operating machinery. Excitability may occur, especially in children.
- Pregnancy/Nursing: Ask a health professional before use.
- Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, contact a Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222 immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is GoodSense just as good as Benadryl®?
Absolutely. Because they share the same active ingredient (Diphenhydramine HCl) at the same 25 mg strength, they are bioequivalent. You get the same clinical symptom relief at a much lower cost.
Can I use this as a sleep aid?
Many people do! Marked drowsiness is a common side effect of first-generation antihistamines, which is why diphenhydramine is the active ingredient in many over-the-counter nighttime sleep aids.
Will this help with a stuffy, congested nose?
Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that "dries out" a runny nose. If your nose is physically blocked and "stuffed up" (congestion), you might need to pair this with a decongestant or look for an "Allergy + Congestion" formula.
