Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is Foster & Thrive Chest Congestion Relief DM the same as Mucinex DM?
Yes. It contains the exact same active ingredients (Dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg and Guaifenesin 400 mg) in equivalent strengths to quiet coughs and thin chest mucus.
How does this formula differ from standard Chest Congestion Relief?
Standard Guaifenesin only thins bronchial mucus (expectorant). This "DM" formula adds Dextromethorphan HBr to suppress dry, ticklish cough reflexes while loosening phlegm.
Why should I drink a full glass of water when taking this medication?
Guaifenesin relies on proper hydration to thin and loosen bronchial mucus effectively. Drinking a full glass of water with each dose optimizes mucus clearance.
